Meissen (German, founded 1710- ), late 19th century. A l charming porcelain figural group emblematic of the sense of touch and after the original modeled by Johann Carl Schoenheit, circa 1772, depicting a woman in 18th century dress, seated on a stool beside table a coaxing a colorful parrot out of a the bird cage onto her finger. Marked to the underside with crossed swords in blue underglaze, incised model # E4, painter #27 and stamped "Germany". Approximate height 6", width 3.87", depth 3.37".
