Amphora (Austrian, founded 1892), Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, bud vase of organic form, with slightly flared mouth with simulated melting wax motif, neck with applied parcel gilt grape clusters with finely rendered grape leaves, body with four pierced organic tendrils simulating vines or roots. With marks to underside including "AMPHORA", an impressed crown, numerals "38", "23", "56" and oval with obscured interior. With additional painted "R" and raised and obscured triangular mark likely for Edda. Approximate height 7.5".
