A fine Art Nouveau oil on diminutive porcelain plaque after the original painting by Wilhelm Kray (German, 1828-1889),"Psyche"-circa 1870, depicting the beautiful half-nude goddess Psyche seated on a boulder at water's edge with butterfly perched on her hand and sweet purple flowers surrounding the scene. With graphite inscription to verso "Psyche by W. Kray...". With label to verso "Frz. X. Thallmaier | K.B. Hof | Porzellenmalerei | Munchen." Framed approximately 9.25" x 7.5". Unframed approximately 5.825" x 4".
