Chinese, 19th century. A pair of tall and slender lidded jars decorated with hand painted rose medallion pattern, having a white ground with cartouches depicting peonies, butterflies and birds as well as figural court scenes, each cartouche lined with incurvate dragon forms, each jar with high relief gilt dragons applied at the neck, each fitted dome lid with gilt foo dog finials, each apparently unmarked. Approximate height (with lid) 13.25", height (without lid) 11", diameter (at mouth) 3".
