Dorothy Doughty (Italian, 1892-1962) for Royal Worcester (English, founded 1751), circa 1967. A pair of ornithological bone china sculptures depicting male and female specimens of Little Downy Woodpecker and Pecan, one perched upside down, the other just landing on a branch, each in original crates with fitted wood stands. Underside of birds with appropriate marks. Approximate height 9" and 10".
