Dorothy Doughty (Italian, 1892-1962) for Royal Worcester (English, founded 1751), circa 1963. A pair of ornithological bone china sculptures entitled Audubon Warbler & Palo Verdi (shape #3669 & #3670) designed in 1959. Each bird realistically modeled perched on a flowering palo verdi branch emanating from rockwork. Sculpture comes with fitted polished wooden plinth. Underside of birds with appropriate marks. One bird with original crate. Approximate height of one 8.25", the other 7.5".
