English, mid 20th century. A large and impressive Sheffield plate silver plateau or salver of round form raised on four graduated round feet, the dish hand chased with c-scroll and floral tondo surrounding a blank monogram medallion at center. with reticulated scalloped gallery bearing laurel garlands and ribbon bows. Underside with impressed mark "MADE IN / Sheffield / ENGLAND / HAND CHASED / Buckingshire" over three Gothic styled letters "LLS" and "140". Approximate diameter 19.75", height 2.25".
