each of baluster form, painted on one side to depict courting couples and on the other side to depict pastoral landscapes, with gilt-highlighted cobalt grounds decorated with quiver trophies and foliate scrolls, mounted at the shoulders with scrolling handles, the covers marked on the underside. Height 15 3/8 inches. Property from the Collection of Sheldon and Carole Sepstead, Grafton, Wisconsin Mounts with dull patina. No cracks, chips or signs of repair. Light surface scratches consistent with age; some rubbed gilt. Additional photos available upon request.
