each painted to depict a historic ballooning scene. Diameter 10 1/2 inches. Each in good, stable and complete condition overall. Minor wear to the gilt accents. Scattered minor areas of scratching and loss to the polychrome decoration consistent with use. One plate with an instance of pitting, and another plate with a minuscule surface chip. One plate with a minor chip to the underside. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of restoration or repair. Signed on the bottom of each plate, not dated, marked on back.
