19th century each of ovoid form surmounted by a domed lift-off cover with pine cone finial, depicting a floral basket on a puce ground. Height 9 1/4 inches. Property from the Estate of Rita Dee Hassenfeld, Palm Beach, Florida Each in good condition without chips, cracks or repairs. Decoration and gilt bright. Marked to underside of lids. Bronze mounts intact without dents or loss, having fairly even dirty patina. Examination under UV light suggests top gilt bronze mounts between lids and bodies likely reglued to bodies.
