(Scottish, 1836-1874) Portrait of Sir William Fergusson, 1st Baronet of Spitalmaugh oil on canvas inscribed to verso 44 x 34 inches. Property from the Collection of Dr. Walter Garst, Miami, Florida In overall good, stable condition. Canvas is relined and fairly dirty. No obvious holes or restorations but under UV light does cause areas of the canvas to fluoresce. Notably: area to the upper right side appears to possibly had an impact, both hands with possibly touch-up, some other scattered areas fluoresce, primarily in the background. Frame is intact.
