circa 1770-1780 the dentiled, fluted and rosette carved cornice over four astragal glazed doors, above a central secretary drawer and two paneled cupboard doors, flanked by a series of four drawers to each side, raised on a plinth base. Height 100 x width 86 x depth 25 inches. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Refinished surface. Hardware mostly, if not all, original. Few glass panes having cracks. Lower cupboard doors slightly loose at the hinge. Few losses to the veneer with areas of craquelure and minor age splits.
