(Italian, 1878-1945) Pink Meadow oil on board signed (lower left) 17 3/4 x 23 inches. Scattered areas of loss to the painted surface, or where the paint is thinly applied to the board. Scattered areas where what appears to be an underlying layer of white paint shows through. Scattered tight age splits to the surface of the wood board with resultant cracks to the painted surface, particularly evident on the blue sky and clouds. Light vertical abrasions along the left edge of the board, perhaps the result of a previous frame. Minor patch of gold-tone paint to the upper right corner of the board, together with gold-tone horizontal lines along the upper and lower horizontal edges of the board. Examination under UV light causes the gold-tone patch and horizontal lines to fluoresce slightly. Frame: 21 1/2 x 26 5/8 inches. Board: 17 5/8 x 23 inches.
