George Elmer Browne (American, 1871-1946) Harbor View Signed "Geo Elmer Browne" l. l. Oil on canvas, 19 x 23 in. (48.2 x 58.4 cm), framed. Condition: Surface grime. N.B. This work was probably painted in the summer of 1909 when Browne was based in Douarnenez, Brittany. Taking day trips to explore the area, he must have also traveled to the nearby village of Concarneau, the subject of this painting.
