Redware Jar, attributed to Nathaniel Seymour, Hartford, Connecticut, early 19th century, the cylindrical jar with collar rim, the lid with pointed knob finial, all glazed green with orange spots, inscribed "6" in yellow slip on side of jar and underside of lid, ht. 6 1/2 in. Provenance: An old Clinton, Connecticut, collection, 1978. Exhibitions: Connecticut Historical Society Redware Exhibit.
