To actor, dramatist, and lessee of the Adelphi Theatre, Benjamin Nottingham Webster (1797-1882), confirming their upcoming engagement, and mentioning the death of David Roberts (1796-1864) . Written in blue ink, matted and framed, 7 x 4 1/4 in. A facsimile of the envelope that once contained this letter receives notice in The Letters of Charles Dickens, Supplement VI , X, 467.1.
