Cased Knife Set, J. A. Henckels, 1976, numbered "0001," made to commemorate the American Bicentennial, each knife blade etched with scenes of the American outdoors or frontier, comprising a 10-in. chef's knife, a 6-in. slicing knife, an 8-in. chef's knife, a 9-in. carving knife, a 4-in. paring knife, a hollow 12-in. meat slicing knife, 10-in. sharpening steel, a meat carving fork, a 5 1/2-in. boning knife, and a 4-in. hunting knife with leather case, each knife with the set number "0001," all in locking burgundy velvet-lined case, (missing one rubber foot on bottom of case). Note: Henckels reportedly limited production to 1000 sets, of which approximately 700 were sold in the United States. This is apparently the first set made.
