English, 19th century. A hand colored engraving depicting a battle scene between the French and British, possibly during the Napoleonic Wars in the early 19th century, with a large figural grouping at center of British soldiers circled around a fallen commander beneath the English flag, a battle scene continuing in the background with a group of men below a French flag at center and a body of water at right. Framed approximately 38" x 51.25", sight size approximately 22.25" x 35.25".
