Queen Anne Black Walnut Side Chair, Newport, Rhode Island, 1750-75, the curving crest above the vase-shaped pierced splat on the compass seat with front and side rail shaping above cabriole front legs joined to the rear square tapering legs by block and vase-swelled side stretchers and swelled and turned medial stretchers, the rear feet without chamfering, old refinish, (minor repairs), ht. 38 1/4, seat ht. 17 in. Provenance: Affixed brass plaque reads "Ebenezer Storer 1730-1807."
