Colonial Revival Carved and Painted Pine Mantel and Fireplace Surround, New England, late 19th century, with beaded and egg-carved outer edge and projecting bowed and dentil molded mantel on demi-lune turned bracket over fielded paneled fireplace surround, old celadon green paint, (very minor imperfections), ht. 52, wd. 65, dp. 11 1/2 in. N.B. Wood analysis shows wood to be beechwood, sugar pine, Eastern white pine, and Western white pine, all species native to North America. Provenance: Marna Anderson.
