N.B. Elizabeth Wentworth Roberts moved to Concord, Massachusetts, around 1908, and shared a house with her lifelong companion Grace Keyes. The house, on Estabrook Road still exists. The view depicted here is that of the Concord barn which contained her studio. She and fellow Concordian Daniel Chester French were instrumental in starting the Concord Art Association, founded in 1916.
