Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-1669) "Rembrandt in a Velvet Cap and Plume," 1638, a later printing (Bartsch, 20). Signed, dated and identified in the plate. Etching on paper, plate size 5 1/4 x 4 in. (13.3 x 10.3 cm), framed. Condition: Margins trimmed nearly to the plate mark, unobtrusive toning, minor nicks/losses to margins, small (less than 1/4 inch), tear into image along right edge, rippling, not examined out of frame.
