Large Lot of Photographs, Photogravures and Prints: Studies after Nature by Achille Quinet (French, 1831-1900), among others; Landscape and Livestock Views and reproductions of art works including images after Charles Franklin Pierce (American, 1844-1920), Anton Mauve (Dutch, 1838-1888), Constant Troyon (French, 1810-1865), Ralph Albert Blakelock (American, 1847-1919), and Theodore Rousseau (French, 1812-1867). Some identified within and/or beneath the images, many unsigned. Various media, sizes to 17 x 21 in. (43.2 x 53.3 cm), unmatted. Condition: Soiling, most with nicks and tears to edges (several with more severe losses), curling. Provenance: Descended in the family of Charles Franklin Pierce (see below). N.B. These images were source material for painter Charles Franklin Pierce, and were part of the contents of his studio.
