Two Items, a rare hemispherical footed bowl, attributed to the Montereau Poterie, Montereau, France, 1825-33, banded in blue with black borders, the blue field decorated with white, black, and blue looping earthworm pattern, all dipped in a yellow glaze giving a green cast to the blue slip, (overfired, significant usage marks to interior), dia. 5 1/2 in.; and a porringer, France, c. 1850, banded in brown and blue with rouletted bands, bearing a blue printed mark: GIEN/GEOFFROY ET CIE/MEDAILLE EXPOSITION 1814/PORCELAINE ANGLAISE, dia. 4 5/8 in. N.B. The Gien factory remains in business today.
