Federal Mahogany and Tiger Maple Inlaid Tall Case Clock, Abraham Lower, Philadelphia, (w. c. 1800-1840), c. 1805, the scrolled bonnet pediment with inlaid terminals, flanking a central urn, with stylized oval stringing above the arched veneered glazed door flanked by inlaid columns enclosing a moon face dial with hemispheres and an eight-day weight-driven movement, the waist with string inlaid lamb's tongue corners flanking the waist door outlined with inlay and tiger maple quarter-fan inlays above the similarly inlaid base which is also flanked by inlaid quarter columns above a molded base with ogee feet, (refinished, restored), ht. 91 in. N.B. Maker signed, under the top of bonnet: "Abraham Lower 1805 Philadelphia."
