Currier & Ives, publishers (American, 1857-1907) and Frances Flora (Fanny) Palmer, lithographer (American, c. 1812-1876) "Staten Island and the Narrows from Fort Hamilton," 1861, (Conningham, 5715). Identified in inscriptions in the matrix. Lithograph with hand-coloring heightened with gum arabic on paper, sheet size 19 x 23 5/8 in., with walnut frame. Condition: Margins 1 3/4-inch or more, stains in margin and upper center image, tears to lower margin, scattered fox marks, toning.
