Chippendale Tiger Maple Tall Case Clock, attributed to John Guild, Chester County, Pennsylvania, 18th century, the broken swan's neck pediment terminating in carved rosettes and centering a plinth over a glazed tombstone door opening to a white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numeral chapter ring centering a calendar aperture and with polychrome bird and floral decorated spandrels flanked by free-standing columns over a shaped waist door flanked by quarter-engaged fluted columns above a box base with applied molding and similar fluted columns on a gadrooned base with ogee bracket feet, old refinish, (dial with some paint enhancement), ht. 96 3/4, base dia. 19 1/2, dp. 10 1/4 in.
