Set of Five Chippendale Mahogany Side Chairs, probably England, c. 1760-80, the crests over pierced vasiform splats and molded shoes flanked by slightly raked stiles over trapezoidal slip seats in molded frames on square legs with molded edge joined to the square back legs, which have inside chamfering, by H-form stretchers, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 37 1/4, seat ht. 17 in. N.B. By microanalysis the secondary wood is elm.
