Wrought at Mrs. Saunders and Miss Beach's Academy.," early 19th century, note attached to the back identifies the needleworker as Eliza Adams (Welch) Taggard, solidly stitched silk threads on silk ground, with watercolor features and distant landscape, embroidered verse is worked beneath picture, 24 1/4 x 25 1/4 in.
