Lot of Three Related Needlework Samplers, America or England, early to mid-19th century, the first, "Sarah Silver Fores, her work aged 14 1849," with inspirational verse, surrounded with a swag, cherubs, flowers, baskets of fruit, birds and a geometric floral border; the second "Mary Ann Phebe Fores aged 14 1849," centered with a fenced area depicting an academy-type building flanked by two with steeples, surrounded by floral devices, an inspirational verse above and two seated spaniels below, bordered with a geometric flowering vine; the third, "Sarah Silver Fores aged 12," America or England, three alphabets and numerals above a brick building flanked by "Punch" with his dog, and a peacock, flowers and birds, the date of this needlework has been pulled out, all framed, (imperfections), 18 x 15, 15 x 13, 19 1/4 x 18 1/2 in. respectively.
