Moses B. Russell (American, c. 1810-1884) Portrait of a Child in a Blue Dress with Grapes. Signed and dated "Painted by M.B. Russell Boston 1840" on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 35 3/4 x 28 3/4 in., in a molded gilt frame. Condition: Retouched, prevalent craquelure with alligatoring and/or blistering, minor loss l.c., subtle bloom. N.B. Russell was active in Boston from 1834 to 1850.
