Painted and Decorated Pine Table Box, probably Connecticut, c. 1700-40, the white pine cleated top with molded edges attaches with snipe hinges above the nail-constructed case and quarter round molded bottom on four turned feet, the front retains much of its original painted red and green decoration with a black border of faded vines, leaves, tulips and other flowers, the top has black lettering which appears to read "H.Blanchard," original surface, (replaced feet), ht. 11 1/2, wd. 22, dp. 12 3/4 in.
