American School, 4th quarter 20th century. "Abstracted Flowers" - 1987, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right "Mitchell" and to verso of stretcher "Lucy Mitchell". Abstract painting depicts a close up view of a cluster of red lilies with smaller purple flowers below, the background rendered in fields of peach, green, and white with diagonal lines cutting throught the fields. Framed approximately 20.25" square.
