Elizabeth O'Neill Verner (American, 1883/84-1979) On Atlantic Street, Charleston/A Vegetable Vender with a Horse Drawn Cart Signed "E. O.N. Verner" l.l. Pastel on paper, sight size 14 1/2 x 16 in. (36.5 x 40.4 cm), framed. Condition: Scattered mold and minor staining, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Purchased from the artist by Mrs. Mary Sampson (see below) then descended in her family. N.B. An original postcard receipt from the artist to Mrs. Sampson (May, 1936), accompanies the lot.
