Alice Ravenel Huger Smith (American, 1876-1958) "Wood This Flight" Signed "Alice R. Huger Smith" l.r. Watercolor on paper, sight size 16 x 21 1/4 in. (40.8 x 53.9 cm), framed. Condition: Scattered foxing, subtle toning, not examined out of frame. N.B. Another favorite of the artist, according to Talulah McInvaill. The artist was especially pleased with the comment of an ornithologist who said that Smith had captured the flight of the wood ibis perfectly.
