Bisque Shoulder Head Doll with Unusual Eyelid Mechanism, Germany, c. 1890, brown glass eyes set stationary, tin eyelids open and close using pull-strings which emerge through two holes in back of head, (eye chip to lower left lid), unmarked, modeling suggests Simon + Halbig, red replacement human hair wig, gusseted kid body, bisque lower arms, (thumb broken), white cotton dress, old dark brown leatherette shoes, ht. 21 in.
