Oak and White Pine Paneled and Joined Chest, Salem, Massachusetts, 1660-90, the oak top with molding below, above the case of four drawers with applied moldings in geometric shapes and hung with channeled drawer sides flanked by rectangular shapes of applied moldings above a molded base with frontal ball feet and rear stile continuations, with replaced turned wooden pulls, old refinished dark red-brown surface, the oak paneled sides with old refinish and dark painted moldings, (restored), ht. 39 3/4, wd. 42, dp. 21 3/4 in. N.B. Wood by microanalysis is red oak and white pine.
