Classical Carved Cherry Veneer Chest, Vermont or New York State, 1825-35, the scrolling backsplash with brass mounts above the rectangular top with molded edge which overhangs two small cockbeaded drawers flanked by cross-hatched three-dimensionally carved panels over a similar top above the stepped-out long drawer and three similar drawers flanked by spiral-carved columns with black painted capitals and bases over the ring-turned swelled legs ending in turned feet, replaced brass, refinished, (minor imperfections), ht. 54 1/4, wd. 42 1/2, dp. 23 in.
