Classical Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Carved Dining Table, incised "C. Briggs" on the underside, Boston, c. 1825-35, the round two-part mahogany top above the mahogany veneer skirt over the four-column veneered standard on the four-part base with curving elements ending in fan carving above ring-turned flattened round feet on castors, old surface, (veneer loss, only one leaf), ht. 29, 47 3/4 x 47 1/4 in. N.B. "C. Briggs" is for Cornelius Briggs, a cabinetmaker located at 578 Washington Street, Boston, in 1825.
