Federal Maple and Bird's-eye Maple Veneer Tall Post Bed, New England, 1825-35, the maple turned swelled headposts flank the headboard which has scrolled terminals and is joined to the turned reeded and bird's-eye maple veneered footposts by rails which were originally fitted for roping, all on swelled and turned feet with castors, old surface, (losses to posts, tester missing, angle irons added), ht. 65, wd. 55, dp. 78 1/2 in.
