Assembled Set of Four Painted Braced Bow-back Windsor Armchairs, Rhode Island, 1790-1800, the arched incised crests with natural arms above seven turned tapering spindles with brace-back tail pieces, and shaped incised seats on bulbous ring-turned splayed legs joined by swelled medial and side stretchers, old black paint, natural mahogany arms, (surface imperfections include paint loss and a minor repair), ht. 36 1/4 to 38, seat ht. 16 3/4 to 18 1/4 in.
