Neoclassical Gilt Gesso and Walnut Veneer Looking Glass, Northern Europe, late 18th century, the cresting of an urn of flowers flanked by flowering vines above the arched glass mirror tablet and tasseled cording and rectangular glass below bordered by walnut veneer and gesso beading, (old regilding, imperfections), ht. 33, wd. 13 3/4 in. Provenance: Label on backboard reads "This mirror hung in the Golden Ball Inn, erected in 1751 for Colonel Elisha Jones from whom I am a direct descendant. Ralph F. Jones 1933."
