Gorham Sterling Silver Rococo-style Salver, Providence, 1905, circular, the raised shaped rim with molded scroll and shell decoration, the face with chased band of foliates and scrolls, on four cast paw feet with acanthus knees, monogrammed to face, with presentation inscription to underside, approx. 109 troy oz., dia. 22 5/8 in. Provenance: Given by members of the Brown family of Providence, Rhode Island, to George W.R. Matteson, thence by descent to the present owners.
