Grain-Painted Tall Case Clock, Silas Hoadley, Plymouth Connecticut, c. 1820-30, the hood, with three plinths, joined by pierced fret work and flanking urn finials above the arched cove-molded cornice and glazed tombstone door flanked by freestanding columns; the polychrome and gilt Masonic dial marked "S. Hoadley" "Plymouth," with floral spandrels and second hand housing a wooden movement, the waist with thumb-molded door above the molded base on cut-out feet, original red-umber grain paint with simulated stringing on door and base, ht. 89 in.
