Federal Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Inlaid Tambour Desk, Eastern Massachusetts, c. 1800-10, the upper section with tambour doors flanked by pilasters with chevron inlay enclosing two short drawers over three valanced compartments centering a prospect door with inlaid stringing enclosing two short drawers over double valanced compartment, set into lower section with folding lid over case of two cockbeaded string-inlaid long drawers and legs inlaid with bellflowers and stringing tapering to inlaid cuffs, old replaced brasses, old refinish with blue-painted interior, (repairs and imperfections), ht. 34 1/2, wd. 37, dp. 19 1/4 in.
