August Edouart (French, 1789-1861) Silhouettes of the Thomas Lamb Family, Boston, Massachusetts, 1842. Depicting Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lamb in single images, their four children, Emily, William Eliot, Charles Duncan, and Margy Eliot, 17th Jan'ry 1842, in a group, and one of Mrs. Lamb's brother, Frank Eliot, the images framed in a manner to reveal signatures on the reverse, with gallery labels of Arthur Vernay, New York, 14 3/4 x 33 1/2 in., matted, eglomise liner and gilt frame. Condition: Good, one stain u.l. margin in image of the children.
