Silk Needlework Picture, possibly Litchfield Female Academy, Litchfield, Connecticut, c. 1800, depicting "Caroline, the Heroine of Litchfield," unsigned, a young lady seated in a landscape beneath two willow trees, a book in her lap and a dog at her side, solidly stitched in silk and chenille threads of greens, golds, brown and blue with water color features and background, round format in an eglomise mat, period frame, (repairs), frame 18 x 17 1/2 in.
