Federal Gilt Mahogany Eglomise Banjo Timepiece, c. 1820-25, the acorn-form finial above a brass bezel and painted dial enclosing an eight-day weight-driven movement stamped "A. WILLARD JR BOSTON," over throat glass with scrolling devices and reading "PATENT," flanked by brass side arms and lower tablet depicting lakeside church, both framed by applied ropetwist decoration, above applied spherules and carved bracket with pendant, (imperfections), ht. 42 3/4 in.
