Attributed to E. L. Greaves (British, ac. Liverpool, 1870-1885) John Boyd Weymouth N.S. Unsigned, titled below, brig identified on pennant. Mixed media including watercolor, gouache, and pen and ink on paper, 22 x 30 in., framed. Condition: Losses especially to edges, staining, overall toning. N.B. The John Boyd was built in Weymouth, Nova Scotia in 1873. F.W. Goodwin and Co. of Digby, Nova Scotia were the owners. The vessel flies the Canadian ensign on the mizzen gaff and is shown with the Liverpool pilot schooner No. 10 to her bow.
