Signed and dated "Hre Pellegrin Marseilles 1856" l.r., titled below, ship identified on pennant and bow. Mixed media including watercolor, gouache, graphite on paper, sight 17 1/2 x 23 3/4 in., in a gilt gesso frame (losses). Condition: Foxing, scattered minor abrasions, not examined out of frame. N.B. The vessel was built in 1853 by and for William S. Highborn of Stockton, Maine.
